FROM PISA AIRPORT TO LUCCA: FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT TO LUCCA: FROM LUCCA EXIT TO VILLA GUINIGI:
• From car hire at airport drive back towards terminal building.
• At mini roundabout go straight on keeping to left lane (terminal building will be off to your left).
• Keeping to the left lane go straight on and then follow motorway (autostrada) green sign to Livorno and Genova.
• On motorway follow signs to Genova then pick up signs to Firenze – follow these F 76/A 11 to Lucca (not signposted for a while!)
• Exit at Lucca exit (there are two, either will do!)
• Take the motorway A11 Firenze-Mare just in front of the airport
• Exit at Lucca exit (there are two, either will do!)
• Follow signs to Lucca Centro
• Pick up ring road around walls (keeping walls on your right, i.e. “clockwise” around town)
• Take road to Bagni di Lucca (heading north)
• Once you pass Mercedes dealership (Guidi) take turning on right (further along road) to Matraia (blue sign).
• Follow this minor road straight on and up mountainside to Villa Guinigi (follow brown signs) keeping always on your right.
