During the first half of the XVIth Century, the Guinigi family, at the time Dukes of Lucca, decided to build their country residence near Matraia, an ideal location due to its temperate climate and spectacular views over the plain of Lucca.

Over the following centuries, a small succession of owners has contributed to the conservation of the property in a way that has allowed it to now be beautifull restored.Particular attention has been given to the decorations of the Mani Salon , which today retains all its old charm, but also to the suggestive cellars, which have been transformed into a Spa with indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.

The Noble floor of the villa where French fireplaces and 19th century frescoes testify  Napoleon Bonaparte's passage, the ground floor and the second floor have been divided into apartments with a unique character, furnished with design elements and luxury finishes that combine past and present and overlooking the park of the villa or the valley with breathtaking views.

The stay in one of the luxurious suites of the Villa Nobile, in addition to guaranteeing direct access to the SPA and wellness services, together with the use of the external areas of the Park and the panoramic swimming pool, represent a unique and prestigious experience not to be missed.

The magnificent Penthouse combine the classic taste of the large suite with the most modern design taste while maintaining all the comforts, such as the shower with Turkish bath and the fireplace in the lounge.
