During the first half of the 16th century, the noble Guinigi family, Dukes of Lucca at the time, chose to establish their summer residence on the outskirts of the village of Matraia, a decision influenced by the mild climate and spectacular views.

Over the following centuries, the successive owners contributed to preserving the property, carrying out restoration works executed to perfection, which have maintained its original character while introducing elements of modernity and contemporary comfort within the apartments. Particular attention was given to the decorations of the main hall, which still retains all of its ancient charm today.

The piano nobile of the villa (where the French fireplaces and 19th-century frescoes testify to the stay of Napoleon Bonaparte, who visited his sister Elisa) and the second floor have been divided into apartments with a unique character, furnished with design elements and luxury finishes that combine past and present, overlooking the villa’s park or the valley with breathtaking views.

From the Villa, direct access to wellness services is also guaranteed, as well as the use of the outdoor areas of the Park and the panoramic swimming pool, making every stay truly unique and memorable.

Wi-Fi coverage is available throughout all areas.
Each apartment includes a dedicated parking space within the property (No.1 per apartment), accessible through a large automatic gate.
